Welcome to the Greenlink website.

The Greenlink is a 7km cycle path creating a direct route from Strathclyde Country Park to Motherwell Town Centre. On the Greenlink we work closely with the local community on various projects on the Greenlink. Check our Diary to find out what's going on and how you can get involved.

Great News

  •  NHSlanarkshire has provided a years funding for the Greenlink Project

  Health Walk Leaders Wanted

  • Interested in helping out with the project?  Would you like to join our team of volunteers?  We are currently seeking Health Walk leaders, which could be you.  Health Walks take place fortnightly and full training will given.  If you are interested then contact us now.

 Awards                                                     

  • Greenlink wins Clydedale and Yorkshire Bank "Spirit of the Community Award and a £5000 prize. See Gallery for pictures.

New woodland

  • An area in Forgewood  has been planted as a new woodland.The trees will provide shelter and habitat for wildlife and will be a future source of wood fuel. This woodland is one of many planted around the country to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. For a map of this area see publications page 

 Mountain Biking 

  • The Greenlink Mountain BIke Skills Zone is now open to the public. See Mountain Biking page for details. For a local map see Publications page

 Allotment Project

  • Scotrail Foundation has awarded £4000 to the Greenlink Allotment Group.

  • Spring Fest event a success thanks to young people on the skillforce Princes Award scheme and Greenlink plotholders. See Gallery for photos.

  Funding News

  • The Nineveh Trust has awarded £4752 to the the Greenlink Project. This will help run the Greenlink Summer events, conservation sessions and work on the allotment.

  • Motherwell Community Forum and NHS Lanarkshire are sponsoring the Greenlink Halloween events for the sixth year.
