health walkHealth Walks on the Greenlink

The Greenlink runs a fortnightly Health Walk programme. Every second Wednesday, we take people for a one hour walk. You don't have to be super fit to take part as these walks are designed to cater for individual abilities. It's also a great way to meet new people and find out about other walking groups in the North Lanarkshire area. We have a number of trained volunteer Health Walk Leaders. It only takes one day to train as a leader.

Braveheart Health Checks

Once a year, the NHS Braveheart team carry out free health checks prior to a health walk. You can have your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar checked in a community centre near the Greenlink. We also provide a free shiatsu massage and a healthy snack.

The Big Walk

Twice a year, we have a ' Big Walk ', from the Aqutech in Motherwell to Strathclyde Country Park. We stop for lunch at the Park and then continue the walk in the afternoon to Chatelherault Country Park. Anyone who doesn't fancy the whole walk can join in after lunch for the Chatelherault section.
