Greenlink Schools

The Greenlink works with local schools surrounding the Greenlink area. School visits to the Greenlink can involve environmental education activities, cycling or health walks. We can also attend school events or give advice on school gardens.

The Greenlink team also work with local nurseries and are members of the Forgewood Nursery Eco Committee.

'' From Seed to Greenlink ''

Every year the Greenlink runs the ' From Seed to Greenlink ' programme whereby schools and nurseries grow wild flowers from seed. These flowers are then planted out on the Greenlink with help from the schools. This year prizes were awarded for the best grown plants. All the schools who took part did a marvelous job and judging was very difficult. The joint winners of a £50 garden vouchers were Muir Street Primary and Firpark School.

Greenlink Youth Survey

In 2007, the Greenlink carried out a youth survey in local schools. The aim of the survey was to find out which activites and facilities young people would like to see on the Greenlink. The results from this survey can be downloaded from the publications section.
